We are efficient

On Team 53E, we strive to create a friendly, helpful, and working environment for team members, and the entire robotics group. We aim to develop team skills, relations, and bonds to allow us to collaborate efficiently and flawlessly.

Past Designs

High Stakes

2024-2025:

The High Stakes season was a very competitive season, which consisted of rings and mobile goals which could be scored on to earn points. Teams would try to score their filled goals in the positive corners to double their points, and avoid the negative corners which would cancel out their points. Teams could also climb on a bar in the middle of the field and score on higher stakes, wall stakes, and alliance stakes.

Over Under

2023-2024:

The main goal for over under was to score as many triballs as you could into the alliance goals. For additional points, you could attempt hanging on the bar that stretched across the field. Teams would play many different strategies, such as catapults, stealing, and starving. Autons were very unique and creative, and there was so much strategy play this season.

Spin Up

2022 - 2023

The Spin Up season consisted of yellow discs which you needed to intake from the floor, and shoot into baskets. There were also cylindrical rollers on the field with team colors that needed to be turned to face the color of your alliance for additional points, as well as an endgame expansion element where your robot would gain additional points for every tile it was covering in the last 10 seconds of the match. In order to solve this challenge, our team used a flexwheel intake which led to a catapult that we used to launch discs into the basket. We also had string launchers which allowed us to cover many field tiles during endgame, and lights on the side of our robot for decoration.

Tipping Point

2021 - 2022

The main object of Tipping Point was to create a robot which would collect mobile goals, and place rings from the floor on these goals. For additional points, you could place the goals on a balancing platform, or balance your robot on the platform. In order to solve this challenge, we created a robot with a four-bar lift in the front to lift mobile goals, and a stationary clamp in the back to carry them, and load rings with our chain and flap intake. We also included a goal-securing mechanism on the four-bar solely to help us grab mobile goals quicker during the autonomous period. â€‹â€‹
