This is my first year on the robotics team and on squad 53C. Robotics is such an enjoyable and competitive activity where I've learned many new skills.
We have the experience
Welcome to 53C, a team of robot nerds who love to have fun! Comprised of master engineers, coders, and robot drivers, we are the jack of all trades of Area 53. Our group is full of diverse personalities and skills, demonstrating how anyone can join a robotics team, no matter who you are or how much experience you have. Together, our mindsets develop creative robots that are geared for victory!

Past Designs
High Stakes (2024 - 2025)
The High Stakes consisted of rings and mobile goals which could be scored on to earn points. Teams would try to score their filled goals in the positive corners to double their points, and de-score opponents through negative corners. Teams could also climb on a bar in the middle of the field and score on higher stakes, wall stakes, and alliance stakes.
Spin Up (2022 - 2023)
Spin Up entails shooting discs scattered across the field into High and Low Goals, as well as spinning rollers on either side of the field to your alliance color.
Starstruck (2016 - 2017)
Starstruck involved manuevering star-shaped objects over a large barrier, as well as tossing inflatable cubes that scored extra points.
Over Under (2023 - 2024)
Over Under divides the field into two zones where you shoot tri-balls into netted goals and climb on poles by the end of the game to score extra points.
Tower Takeover (2019 - 2020)
Tower Takeover scores multiple different color cubes into high towers, each varying in point value.
Skyrise (2014 - 2015)
Skyrise was a game where you collected cubes and scored them into floor goals and atop posts, as well as building you alliance skyrise sections.
